Where pixels meet neon.

Deep-dive reviews, speedrun breakdowns and hardware teardowns from a crew that grew up in the arcade glow. New longform drops every Tuesday and Friday.

A note from the founder

Built in a Fitzroy bedroom, powered by too much coffee.

I started CrimsonMoonKingdom in 2016 after selling my SNES collection to make rent — and immediately regretting it. This blog is my apology letter to every cartridge I ever let go. We don't chase launch-day hype scores; we sit with a game for weeks, finish it, and then tell you whether it actually respects your time.

Today we're a five-person team writing out of a shared studio on Little Collins Street, publishing honest reviews, preservation stories, and the occasional 4,000-word rant about menu UI. No paywalls, no review copies that buy praise — just the games, lit up in neon.
